Resident & Day Programs

Many individuals with disabilities are involved in residential or day treatment settings. Treatment providers should know names, locations, and critical needs (including medications) of each individual in their care. Emergency preparedness planning for residential and day treatment settings should include managers, case managers, nurses, direct support staff, and persons with disabilities. Residential and day programs should have accessible plans for shelter-in-place and evacuation. In addition, alternate respite care should be identified in advance in case the residents need to be relocated.
