Service and Care ProvidersCare providers do just that, “provide care.” A care provider may provide care for an individual or groups of individuals, in homes or in schools, businesses, and residential settings. Care providers may be medical professionals and therapists who can incorporate accessible emergency preparedness planning into their treatment and therapy routine. Persons with disabilities may be with their care provider during an emergency and if so, that care provider will have hands-on responsibility to assist the person with a disability in evacuating or sheltering-in place.
