Newly Redesigned ICC Website: www.disabilitypreparedness.gov Goes Live
In July 2005, the Council unveiled the Disability Preparedness Resource Center Web site. In the months since the original launch, the Council redesigned this Web site and incorporated cutting edge Web site navigational capabilities making the site far more user friendly. In addition, the Council has added additional disability preparedness information. Having its own designated URL (www.disabilitypreparedness.gov), the Disability Preparedness Resource Center provides information on emergency management issues affecting people with disabilities, family members of and service and care providers for people with disabilities, and emergency planners, managers and first responders.
Seeking Input on Research Needs in Disability Preparedness
The Interagency Committee on Disability Research (ICDR), in conjunction with the ICC Research Subcommittee, is seeking input from all interested parties, stakeholders and the general public on research needs in the area of emergency preparedness and people with disabilities. Please visit the ICDR Comment Form and provide your comments regarding this important research topic. Your input will be analyzed and, along with other sources of information, used to help shape and coordinate federal research in emergency preparedness and disability.
